I was born in Neuss in 1961.

Since school just was not right for me I left it at the age

of seventeen to work on a tanker as a shipboy.

Later I lived in squatted houses, learned the gilder-craft, worked on a half-timbered house, helped out in

a printer-shop and worked as a kindergartener.

I also did restauration work in the Clemens-

Sels museum in Neuss and the Cologne Citymuseum.

One defining moment in my life was my overland journey

to and through Iran in 1984 during the Iran-Irag war.

I made my Master in gilder-craft in 1991 and since that

year I am an independent gilder.
